Street protest essential to break five-way union, says UMl leader Sah – The Himalayan Times – Nepal’s No.1 English Daily Newspaper
RAUTAHAT, JANUARY 29
CPN-UML Standing Committee Member Prabhu Sah today stressed the need to take to the streets as the five-party alliance conspired to delay local-level elections in the country.
Addressing the CPN-UML Dewahi Gonahi Municipal Assembly in Rautahat, Sah said the opposition party had no choice but to take to the streets to save the country from the union of the alliance of five parties. He accused the leaders of the five-party alliance of looting state coffers and institutionalized looting of the national treasury.
“The government formed from the verdict of the Supreme Court is intensifying corruption and looting in the country,” Sah reiterated.
He expressed concern about rising inflation and the hardships facing farmers and arrears.
Sah accused the government of breaking the law and conspiring to postpone elections at the local level. He argued that agitation was the only good alternative to get politics back on track. He ordered the party base to prepare for the protest against the five-party alliance and its conspiracy.
