He said, “The country has advanced rapidly on the road to self-sufficiency in these eight years. The confidence of the people of the country has increased. Basic infrastructure has increased in all sectors. The benefits of development and social protection programs have reached the needy people without any discrimination. The income of farmers and the poor has also increased.

The Chief Minister said that a person standing at the bottom rung progresses with self-reliance and self-respect, having benefited from various government programs.

“Women participate in the development of society and the nation with respect, security and autonomy. Campaigns like Make in India, Digital India, Start-up India, Stand-up India, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao prove to be an important step in building a new India. Our youth are contributing with new confidence in building the New India and New Uttar Pradesh,” he added.

He said that through JAM Trinity which is a combination of Jan Dhan, Aadhar and Mobile, the Prime Minister has shown his foresight in delivering benefits of government schemes to everyone directly by eliminating corruption.

“The Corona period, in which the benefits of government programs reach millions of people via direct benefit transfer (DBT) is an exemplary example,” he said.

Yogi said that the slogans of ‘Roti, Kapda aur Makan’ were thrown around often after independence, but did the previous government manage to achieve the goal of providing the houses. “It was promised that houses will be provided to house less by 2022 and it has been done successfully,” he said.

He said that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), more than 1.22 crore houses were sanctioned in the country and in UP, 17.54 lakh houses were sanctioned.

“Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (rural), while 2.55 million houses were built in the country, 26.16 lakh houses were donated to UP,” he added.
